Change Address
As per Section 12 of the Companies Act of 2013, it is mandated that all businesses, including LLPs, must have a registered office either at the time of registration or within 30 days of registration. The registered office address serves as the primary place of business for a company or LLP, and formal communications from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) are sent to this location. Hence, any change in the registered office address must be duly notified to the RoC or MCA.
A business may have multiple locations, such as a corporate office, branch offices, administrative offices, and more. However, it is important to note that the RoC or MCA should only be informed about changes in the registered office address. There is no requirement to notify them about the formation or modification of addresses for any additional offices maintained by the company.
